1083 provided by law, PROVIDED HOWEVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads, having a valuation of not more than $5,000.00 for the General Fund of said City. SECTION 2. That 5 mills of such tax be used for General City purposes and shall be assessed for the General Fund of said City. That 2 mills of such tax shall be assessed for the interest and sinking fund for the payment of interest and principal of General RefUnding Bonds, Issue of 1942, of said City. SECTION 3. It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector of said City and the City Clerk of said City~ to divide the proceeds received from said taxes as aforesaid, into the funds set out in Section 1 of this Ordinance and keep full and correct account of same as they may be directed by the City Council. SECTION 4. Ail ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor. PASSED AND ADOPTED in regular session this 5th day of December, A.D. 1967. Voting No: Councilman Hunt. The Clerk reported that the Florida Power and Light Franchise check in the amount of $15,880.21 had been received. The Council agreed to publish notice to oostpone Council meeting scheduled for January 2, 1968 t~ January 9, 1968. The Clerk reported that she was unable to take all of all,ted vacation and requested one weeks additional pay.
