NOTICE NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, will receive sealed bids for the purchase of the following: 1 special police car, 4 door, heater, tinted glass, turn signal, back-up lights, air condi- tioning, spot light, heavy duty automatic trans- mission at least 60 AMP, low cut in alternator, 15 inch wheels, m~ ef 360 HP engine, tan with white top, power brakes, power steering and padded dash. Councilman Walker stated the need of a vehicle to be used at sewer plant to haul off tank of settlings from sludge tanks and suggested using Civil Defense jeep used by the Police Department. The Council agreed to check into matter and see if it could be used in ether city departments. A letter was read fr~n Markham Brothers requesting permission to park house trailers for some of their employees use in an area south of warehouses. Matter was referred t~ workshop meeting. Letters were received from R~ger L. Jones a~ Roscoe Markha~ requesting the Council to amend present Zoning Ordinance and add a prevision for trailers to be parked en lots owned by the trailer owners for the purpose of ~_-_~ntaining a residence. Matter to be taken under advisement. Mayor Dunha~ reported that the County Commissioners had agreed ena dumping area for junked automobiles. Councilman Walker moved te accept the bid fre~ the Pure ~il Company for the purchase ef gasoline H $.211 per gallon and diesel f~el H $.119 per gallon for period of one year beginning February 7, 1967, seconded by Councilman Hunt and carried. Said bids were received and opened at Council meeting held February 7, 1967. Councilman Padgett moved to open Hale Street west to Seminole Street, south en Seminole to 12th Street and Eighteenth Street east te Bleck 17 (Dreese property) and to have street right ef ways surveyed by Leon Willis with Hubert Harden and Lewis Dreese paying 50% of cost ef survey, seconded by Councilman Walker and carried. Councilman Padgett moved to withdraw above motion and moved to open the above mentioned streets and Have right of ways surveyed by Leon Willis with City paying all the cost ef survey, seconded by Councilman Watford a~M carried.
