M. with the following present: Mayor Mc Crocklin, Dunham, President/ Councilmen Hunt, Walker and Watford with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey. January 7, 1966 TO: HON. CLYDE MC CROCKLIN HON. MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA I, AUDLEY DUNHAM, Mayor of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, do hereby call a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, to be held at the Council Chamber, within the City of Okeechobee, on the 7th day of January, A. D. 1966, at the hour of 5:15 P. M. for the purpose: TO SETTLE QUESTION OF AUTHORITY OF RELEASING PRISONERS. You, and each of you are hereby requested and notified te be at and attend the afore- said meeting at the place herein named. MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF OKEECHOBEE 0KEECHOBEE, FLORIDA Mayor Dunham stated the purpose of the meeting was to settle the question of authority on releasing prisoners. 993 After discussion and consideration the Council agreed that the Jailer release prisoners upon authority from the Police Department office and that the Police Officers act as Bailiff at City Court. Upon motion the Council adjourned. PRESIDENT CITY COUNCIL ATTEST: 4 ~_~ ~- CITY CLERK January 18, 1966 The City Council of the City ef Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular adjourned session at the City Hall on the above date at 5:15 P. M. with the following present: President Mc Crocklin, Council- men Gardner, Hunt, Walker and Watford with Clerk Spivey. Councilman Walker moved to instruct Attorney Hendry te prepare Ordinance increasing the minimun charge on water 505 (from $3.00 to $3.50) to all consu~mers outside the city limits, seconded by Councilman Gardner and unanimously carried. Also Attorney Hendry was requested te prepare letter notifying all consumers outside city limits of price increase. Councilman Hunt moved to authorize work to be started at the water plant installing safety devices as required by Flerida Industrial Cemmissien, secended by Councilman Gardner and carried. A request was tabled for water line extensien on west 10th street west ef Hillsborough street. Upon recommendation of Ceuncilman Watferd, Chairman Parks, Laws and Rules Committee, Ceuncilman Gardner moved to increase Policeman Alan H. Thomas salary $7.50 per month, retreactive to January 1, 1966, secende4 by CeunciLman Watferd and carried. was presented A request/frem the Loyal Order ef the Meese #1753, fer certificate ef zening at 1900 S. Parrett Avenue for beer license. Councilman Watferd moved that upem approval of City Attorney Hendry the certificate be executed by the proper City Official, secended by Ceuncilman Gardner and carried. Upon motion the Council adjourned.
