The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regular session at the City Hall
on the above date at 7:00 P. M. at the City Hall w~ith the following present: Mayor Mack, president
Nc Crocklin, Co~nscilmen Gardner, Hunt and Walker with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey.
Councilman Walker reported a request from Roger L. Jones for water line extension to trailer
park addition in Central Park Subdivision on East 5th Street stating the extension would require approximat
ly 150 feet of pipe. Also a request for sewer line extension to above property was reported by Councilman
Gardner. After discussion Councilman Gardner moved to grant request and install water and sewer line to
above property s~onded by Councilman Walker and unanimously carried.
The Garbage Franchise was discussed again afterwhich Councilman Hunt moved to cancel the Garbage
Franchise with Ideal Sanitation as of December 1, 1964, seconded by Councilman Oandner and carried.
Attorney Hendry adVise~ to notify all interested parties of Council's decision. The Council discussed
several chan~es ~o be made in new franchise to be prepared by Attorney Hendry.
Pursuamt to notice published in the Okeechobee News regarding public hearing on rezoning Lots
5 and 6, Block 719, First Addition to City of Okeechobee from Residential (R-l) to Commercial, President
Mc Crocklin asked if their were any objections to the rezoning. No objection was heard or filed. Council-
man Gardner mowed to rezone above described property presenting the following Ordinance and moved its
adoption and upom being seconded bi Councilman Walker was put to a vote and unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS, appliCation has been made by T. T. Coleman, requesting this
Council to rezone from R~SIDENTIAL (R-l) TO COMmeRCIAL Lots ~ and 6, Block 219,
First A~dition to City o~ Okeechobee, and
WHEREAS, Notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271 re-
garding said application iwas duly published according to law~ and
~tEREAS, on the 3rd day of November, 1964, a public hearing was held in
the Cit~ Council room pursuant to said notice, and
WHEREAS, it is ~deemed to the best interest of the City of Okeechobee to
grant said application; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED ~Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Lots 5 and 6, Block 219, First Addition to City of
OkeechoSee, be and are he~reby rezoned from RESIDENTIAL (R-!) to COMMERCIAL effective
November 3, 196~.
SECTION ~. That the aPPlication requesting rezoning and proof of
' publication of no~ce to amend Z~king Ordinance No. 271 published ~n connection
with the ab°ye ap,~licati°nbe attached t° this Ordinance and bec°me a part here°f'
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the City
Zoning Map in accordance with thie Ordinance.
