Councilman Knight moved to notify the owner of the violation and that
the City will not consider the zoning application as long as the zoning laws are
being violated, seconded by Councilman Raulerson and carried.
2. SEMINAR
Clerk Bennett requested permission to attend Seminar on July 22n4 in
Georgia.
Councilman Raulerson moved to grant Clerk Bennett two day leave to
attend Seminar, seconded by Councilman Knight and passed.
CO-SIGNERS
President Pro-Tem Edward W. Douglas appointed Councilman Lytle Raulerson as
co-signer to President Russell V. Domer in his absense.
LANDSCAPING AROUND CITY HALL
Councilman Knight moved to authorize the purchase of box wood plants for dis
tribution around City Hall, seconded by Councilman Raulerson and carried.

RECESSED MEETING THURSDAY~ JULY 7, 1977
The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, convened in a rec-
essed session at 6:00 P.M., on Thursday, July 7, 1977.
President Russell V. Domer presiding.
Councilmen Jim Knight, Edward W. Douglas, Lavon Bass and Lytle Raulerson
were present.
Others present were: Sandra Bennett, City Clerk; David Conlon, City Attorney
L. C. Fortner, Director of Public Works; 01en Godwin, Fire Chief; Donald Shepherd,
City Engineer; Charlie Harvey, County Commissioner.
FIRE AGREEMENT
County Commissioner Charlie Harvey appeared before the Council regarding the
City and County Fire Agreement. He pointed out that the County is housing pris-
toners and that the County is charging only a minimum cost for shell that the
City purchases from the County.
President Domer stated that the City has an Agreement with Sheriff Williams
whereby he would bill the City for their prisioners.
Councilman Douglas stated that he felt that the City should pay their fair
share of housing the pris~nne~s and shell purchased from the County.
Following further discussion, the Council voted to stay with original contrac'
and requested ~ommissioner~Harvey to bill the City for the services they are re-
ceiving from the County.
BEACH WATER ASSOCIATION
Mr. J. H. Weaver, 0keechobee Beach Water Association Engineer, Curtis Wright
and Frank Brooms, Members of the Board of Directors of ~he 0keechobee Beach Water
Association and Attorney Richard M. Sauls appeared before the Council in regards
to the Agreement between the 0keechobee Beach Water Association and the City of
0keechobee.
Following a lengthy discussion regarding the contract, the Council tabled
action and requested Attorney Conlon to prepare a revised contract and forward
it to Mr. Sauls and the 0keechobee Beach Water Association for approval.
T~RNER MACHINE
President Domer presented a bill from Truner Machine for $325.00 dollars for
repairs on the Fire Truck.
Councilman Bass moved to pay bill for $325.00 dollars, seconded by Councilman
Raulerson and passed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, President Domer declared the meeting
adjourned.
