WHEREAS, application has been. made by Earl '1. Clay, rennesting this
Council to rezone from RESIDEnTAH (F....2) to COMCIAL Lots 19 and 20,
Block 28,derthwest Additicn, and
=PEAS, notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271
regarding said application was duly published according to law, and
WHEREAS, on the 72n0 day of December, 1964, a public hearing was held
in the City Council room pursuant to said notice, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Okeechobee
to grant said anplioation; now therefore
BE TT ORDAINED 9Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP OK7E0 RoTEF -FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Lots 19 and 20, Block 28, Northwest Additlen, be and
are hereby rezoned from Residential (R-2) to Commercial. effective December 22, 1964.
SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof of
publicatien to amend. Zoning Ordinance 7o. 271 onblished in cohnectip with
the above applicatibn be attached to this Ordinance and become a part hereof.
SECTI0r 3. That the City Clerk make the anpropriate change on the City
Zoning Map in accordance with this Urdinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd. day. of December, 1964.

Gentlemen:
1 have read a legal advertisement appearing in the
Okeechobee News- Mirror stating that your Honorable body will
consider re- zoning from RESIDENTIAL (R -2) to COMMERCIAL,
and to amend accordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
#271 adopted November 21, 1955, applying to the following
described property in the City of Okeechobee, Florida, to -wit:
Lots 19 and 20, Block 28, NORTHWEST ADDITION
I wish to go on record as opposing the re- zoning of
this property. My home is in Block 28, NORTHWEST ADDITION,
and x have other property in that same block. To re -zone
from''Residental to Commercial will greatly depreciate the
value of my property, and especially if this re- zoning is
for the purpose of permitting the construction and mainten-
ance of a body shop.

WE, the undersigned owners of property in the vicinity
of Block 28, NORTHWEST ADDITION, in the Town of Okeechobee,
Florida, hereby oppose the re- zoning from RESIDENTAL (R -2)
to COMMERCIAL. It is our opinion such re- zoning will greatly
depreciate the value of our property and create a nuisance
if a body shop is permitted to be constructed and maintained
in said block.
