3. 701 PLANNING SYSTEM
A letter was read from John Sidor, Director of the Department of Community
Affairs informing the City that because of the limited funds available and the
large number of applicants, the City will not be able to receive funds unless
supplemental "701" funds from the Department of Housing are allocated.
DRAINAGE - DOUGLAS PARK
Councilman Knight reported that he and County Commissioner Lashley had
investigated the drainage problem in Douglas Park and they decided to request
each person to purchase their own culvert.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, President Domer declared the meeting rec-
essed at 10:00 P.M., until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 1977.

RECESSED WORKSHOP MEETING THURSDAY, MARCH 31, 1977
The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida convened in a recessed
workshop session in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, Okeechobee, Florida,
on Thursday, March 31, 1977 at 7 :00 P.M. President Russell V. Domer presiding.
Councilmen Lytle Raulerson, Jim Knight, and Edward W. Douglas were present.
Councilman Lavon Bass was absent. Others present were: Sandra Bennett, City
Clerk; Richard Spray, Building Official; and Ernest R. Bartley, Planning Con -_
sultant.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT - ZONING
Dr. Ernest R. Bartley, A.I.P., appeared before the Council to review the
draft text of the new zoning Ordinance.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, President Domer declared the meeting ad-
journed at 10:00 P.M.
