271-117 McFarlandORDINANCE NO. 271 - ( 117 ) ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 271, BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISH- ING ZONING REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AND PRO - VIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENT1 THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER 176, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953. WHEREAS, Application has been made by Thelma L. McFarland re- questing this Council to rezone from Agricultural to Commercial. Beginning Five Hundred (500) feet South of the Northeast corner of the Southeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section Twenty -eight (28), Township Thirty -seven South of Range thirty -five East, running thence West Three Hun- dred Sixty -one (361) feet, more or less, to the East line of Parrott Avenue; thence South along said East line of Parrott Avenue One Hundred (100) feet; thence East Three Hundred Sixty -one (361) feet, more or less, to the East Boundary line of Section Twenty- eight; thence North along said Section line One Hundred (100) Feet to the Point of Beginning, and being a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section Twenty- eight, Township Thirty -seven South, Range Thirty -five East. WHEREAS, notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271, regarding said application was duly published according to law, and WHEREAS, on the 6th day of July, 1976, a public hearing was held in the City Council room pursuant to said notice, and WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Ok- eechobee, to grant application; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That beginning Five Hundred (500) Feet South of the Northeast Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section Twenty -eight (28), Township Thirty -seven of Range Thirty -five East, running thence West Three Hundred Sixty - one (361) Feet, more or less, to the East line of Parrott Avenue; thence South along East line of Parrott Avenue One Hundred (100) feet; thence East Three Hundred Sixty -one (361) feet, more or less, to the Boudary line of Section Twenty- eight; thence North along Point of Beginning, and being a part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section Twenty- eight, Township Thirty - seven South, Range Thirty -five East. Original Town of Okeechobee, Florida, be and is hereby rezoned from Agricultural to Commercial, effective July 6, 1976. SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof of publication to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 271 published in con- nection with the above application be attached to this Ordinance and become a part hereof. SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the City Zoning Map in accordance with this Ordinance. PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 6th day of July, 1976.
