ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 271, BETNG AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZONING
REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMIN-
ISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENEI4ENT THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 176, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953.
WHEREAS, Application has been made by W. C. Sherman, Executor of
Roscoe L. Markham, Sr. Estate requesting this Council to rezone from Res-
idential (R -1) to Commercial.
1st Addition to the City Block 220, Lots 10, 11, and 12. Original
Town of Okeechobee.
WHEREAS, notice of intention to Amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271,
regarding said application was duly published according to law, and
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of August, 1976, a public hearing was held in
the City Council room pursuant to said notice, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Okeechobee, to
grant application; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. 1st Addition to the City Block 220, Lots 10, 11, and 12.
Original Town of Okeechobee, Florida, be an is hereby rezoned from Residential
(R-1)l to Commercial, effective August 19, 1976.
SECTION ?. illat the application requesting rezoning and proof of publication
to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 271 published in connection with the above ap-
plication be attached to this Ordinance and become a part hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the City
Zoning Map in accordance with this Ordinance.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th day of August, 1976.

LETTERS TESTAMENTARY
TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME, GREETINGS:
WHEREAS, ROSCOE LOWRY MARKHAM, late of the County
aforesaid, died on the llth day of April, A. D. 1969, leaving a Test Will and
Testament, which having been satisfactorily proven, was on the 24th day of
April, A. D. 1969, duly admitted to probate and record in this Court, And
as by said Last Will and Testament it appears that MIAMI BEACH FIRST
NATIONAL BANK and ALLEN MARKHAM were named therein as Executors
thereof, but that said ALLEN MA RKHA M and MIAMI BEACH FIRST NA TIONA L
BANK have declined to serve and that the adult beneficiaries of the Will having
designated W. C. SHERMAN and CHRISTINE P. MARKHAM, as successor
Co- Executors, said Co- Executors, W. C. SHERMAN and CHRISTINE P.
MARKHAM having prayed the Court to grant Letters Testamentary thereon
to them as such Executors and having, in due form of law, taken the prescrib-
ed oath, and performed all other acts necessary to their legal qualifications
as such Executors.
Now therefore, know ye, That I, G. E. BRYANT, rR. , the
County Judge in and for the County aforesaid by virtue of the power and auth-
oriy by law in me vested do hereby declare the said W. C. SHERMAN and
CHRISTINE P. MARKHAM duly qualified by the laws of said State to act as
Executors of said Last Will and Testament with full power, by the provisions
of law and by virtue of these presents, to administer all and singular the
goods, chattels, rights and credits, lands, tenements and hereditaments of
said deceased and to ask, demand, sue for, recover and receive the same; to
pay the debts in which the said deceased stood bound, so far as the assets
shall extend and the law direct, and duly entitled to have and hold for the pur-
poses directed in and by the said Last Will and Testament, all the estate of
the said deceased during the legal continuance of their administration, until
the same shall expire by virtue of the provisions of said Last Will and Testa-
ment, or until the power and authority hereby granted shall be duly revoked
according to law.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND CITY ZONING ORDINANCE #271
NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider rezoning from Residential
(R -1) to Commercial and to amend accordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance
#271 adopted November 21, 1955, the following described real property, situate,
lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,
to wit:
1st addition to the City Block 220, Lots 10, 11, and 12. Original
Town of Okeechobee.
and that a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at 1:30 p.m. on
the 19th day of August, 1976, in the City Council room, City Hall, Okeechobee,
Florida, at which time all parties in interest and citizens shall have an
opportunity to be heard.
