ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 271, BEING AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING ZONING
REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA AND PROVIDING FOR THE ATAiIN-
ISTRAAION, ENFORCEMENT AND AMENDMENT THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF
CHAPTER 176, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953.
WHEREAS, Application has been made by B. P. Abney, Sr. requesting this
Council to rezone from Industrial to Residential (R-1).
Lot 9, Block 29, Original Town of Okeechobee.
WHEREAS, notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance No. 271, re-
garding said application was duly published according to law, and
WHEREAS, on the 21st day of September, 1976, a public hearing was held
in the City Council room pursuant to said notice, and
%WEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida, to grant application; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHCBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Lot 9, Block 29, Original Town of Okeechobee, Florida,
be and is hereby rezoned from Industrial to Residential (R -1), effective
September 21, 1976.
SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof of pub -
lication to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 271 published in connection with the
above application be attached to this Ordinance and become a part hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the City
Zoning Map in accordance with this Ordinance.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of
Okeechobee, Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider re-
zoning from Industrial to Residential (R -1) and to amend ac-
cordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance #271 adopted Nov-
ember 21, 1955, the following described real property, situate,
lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Okee-
chobee, Florida, to -wit:
Lot 9 Block 29, Original Town of Okeechobee.
and that a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at
7:00 P,M. on the 21st day of September, 1976, in the City Council
room, City Hall, Okeechobee, Florida, at which time all parties in
intere$t and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard.
