ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 271, BEING AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING ZONING REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT
AND AMENDMENT THEREOF, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISION OF CHAPTER
176, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953.
WHEREAS, application has been made by Cody L. Jenkins re-
questing this Council to rezone from Agriculture to Residential
(R -1)
Begin at a point 330 feet south of the north west
corner of the south west Quarter (SW4) of South
East Quarter (SE4) of Section 22, Township 37
south, Range 35 East and run thence south 132 to
a point, thence run east 165 feet to a point,
thence run north 132 feet to a point, thence run
west 165 feet to a point. Containing one -half
(2) acre, and
WHEREAS, notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance
No. 271, regarding said application was duly published according
to law, and
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1978, a public hearing
was held in the City Council Room pursuant to said notice, and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of
Okeechobee, to grant said application; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Beginning at a point 330 feet south of the
north west corner of the south west Quarter (SW of South East
Quarterl(SE+) of Section 22, Township 37 South, Range 35 East and
run thence south 132 to a point, thence run east 165 feet to a point
thence run north 132 feet to a point, thence run west 165 feet to a
point. Containing one -half (2) acre, be and is hereby rezoned from
Agriculture to Residential (R -1), effective February 28th, 1978.
SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof
of publication to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 271 published in connection
with the above application be attached to this Ordinance and become a
part hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on the
City Zoning Map in accordance with this Ordinance.

NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City
of Okeechobee, Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider
rezoning from Agriculture to Residential (R -1) and to amend

cordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance #271 adopted
November 21, 1955, the following described real property,

tuate, lying and being within the corporate limits of the
City of Okeechobee, Florida, to -wit:

all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity
to be heard.
