ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 402, BEING AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING ZONING REGULATIONS FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
LORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE ADMINISTRATION, ENFORCEMENT
ND AMENDMENT THEREOF PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPTER
76, FLORIDA STATUTES, 1953.
EREAS, application has been made by Victor Burk requesting this
Council to rezone from RG -1 to Commercial,
Lot 10, Block 18,
WHEREAS, notice of intention to amend City Zoning Ordinance
No. 402, regarding said application was duly published according
to law, and
EREAS, on the 26th day of September , 1978, a public
hearing was held in the City Council Room pursuant to said notice, and
EREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of
Okeeci'.obee to grant said application; now therefore

ECTION 1. That Lot 10, Block 18, be and is hereby rezoned
from RG -1 to Commercial, effective September
26th , 1978.
SECTION 2. That the application requesting rezoning and proof
of publication to amend Zoning Ordinance No. 402 published in con-
necti
n with the above application be attached to this Ordinance
and become a part hereof.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk make the appropriate change on
the City Zoning Map in accordance with this Ordinance.

OTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of
Okeec]f.obee, Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider rezoning
from AG-1 to Commercial and to amend accordingly the Comprehensive
Zonino Ordinance #402 clarified adopted August 8, 1918, the
follo1ring described real property, situate, lying and being within
the cdrporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, to -wit:

and tat a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at
7:00 .M. on the 26th day of September, 1978 in the City Council

SECOND REGULAR MEETING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26, 1978
The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, convened in
Regular Session in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, Okeechobee,
Florida at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 26, 1978.
President Russell V. Domer presiding.
Councilman Edward W. Douglas, Jim Knight and Lytle Raulerson were
present. Councilman Lavon Bass was absent.
Others present were: Audley Dunham, Mayor; David Conlon, City
Attorney; Larry Mobley, Chief of Police; L. C. Fortner, Jr., Director
of Public Works; E. H. Reutebuch, Assistant Fire Chief; Richard B. Spray,
Building Official; Sylvia Christian, Acting City Clerk and Lola Parker,
Deputy Clerk.
The Invocation was offered by Councilman Jim Knight.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
It was moved by Councilman Raulerson and seconded by Councilman
Douglas and vote carried that the minutes of August 22, 24 and September
5, 1978 be approved as recorded.
PUBLIC HEARING
ORDINANCE NUMBER #403 - ADOPTION OF BUDGET - FINAL READING
President Domer submitted for final reading Ordinance Number #403
which is "An Ordinance adopting a budget for the fiscal year beginning
October 1, 1978 and ending September 30, 1979, and providing for the
effective date hereof."
President Domer asked if there were any objections or comments to
this Ordinance. No objections were heard or filed.
Councilman Knight moved to adopt Budget Ordinance Number #403,
seconded by Councilman Douglas and vote carried.
PUBLIC HEARING
ZONING ORDINANCE - BURK - FINAL HEARING
President Domer submitted the final hearing on rezoning of property
described as Lot 10 Block 18. From RG -1 to Commercial.
President Domer asked if there were any objections or comments to the
requested rezoning. No objections were heard or filed.
Councilman Douglas moved to rezone the above described property as
requested and to amend Ordinance No. 271, seconded by Councilman Raulerson
and vote carried.
