After discussion of the pros and cons we feel we h ^ve to protest this action, as we think the value and character of the surrounding area will be adversely affected by commercial intrusion. We are opposed to the rezoning of Block 3, Lots 14 thru 20, Southwest addition to Okeechobee City from Residential to Commercial. The entire section faces all Residential Zoning, plus several nice homes. We have a nice neighborhood with several children and do not need Commercial businesses and all that goes with it, traffic, etc. Also according to the City's 402 Ordinance, the warehouses that are proposed to be put on this property, are not allowed in Commercial Zoning. We could not be here due to our already planned vacation, or we would be here in person to protest. Please take a look at our neighborhood, and you will see that this rezoning would be wrong for our area. Thank you in advance for considering my request. The entire section faces all Residential Zoning, plus several nice homes. We have a nice neighborhood with several children and do not need Commercial businesses and all that goes with it, traffic, etc. Also according to the City's 402 Ordinance, the warehouses that are proposed to be put,on this property, are not allowed in Commercial Zoning. We could not be here due to our already planned vacation, or we would be here in person to protest. Please take a look at our neighborhood, and you will see that this rezoning would be wrong for our area. Thank you in advance for considering my request.
