Councilmm Ca.drier moved to approve purchase of 500 f~et of 2~ inch Euerka fire hose, 400 # test, wax and gume treated~ rocker lug coupling and mildew treated at m price of $795.00 seconded by Councilman Hunt and unanimously carried. Counci~ Gardner moved to reimburse Olen Godwin for Medical Services paid to Dr. Bruce E. Mills M. D. $150.00 and ~keechobee General Hospital $56.50 for care of Pearl Godwin's fractured arm received answering telephon~ while Chief Godwin was out on a fire call, seconded by Councilman Walker and unanimously carried. Fire Chief Godwin requested a curtain for window in volunteer firemen room. Councilman Hunt moved to grant re'est and purchase same seconded by Councilman Gardner and unanimously carried. Counci~n Hunt discussed re-wiring City Hall. The Council agreed for Councilman Hunt to contact Hayes Electric re~rding matter. C. L. ~lker, Chairman of Zoning and Planning Board was present discussing consolidating City and County Buildi~ Inspector. The Council agreed to meet with Commissioners regarding matter on Wedaesday, August 5, 1964 at ~:30 P. M. The Coq~Cil discussed with Mr. Walk the Riverlake Estates water line contract. Counci~ Gardner reported a request from H. H. Marsh for a sewer line extension to Lots 10, 11 and 12, Block 146~- Original Town of Okeechobee, requiring approximately 200 feet of sewer pipe. The Council agreed to contact all property owners in said block to see if they were interested in connecting to sewer. The CounCil authorized the proper officals to sign the application'to State Board of Health requesting approva~ of plans for relocation of water intake pipe at lake. Pursuan$ to natice published in Okeechobee News regarding a public hearing to rezone Lots 11 and 12, Block 19, Not,est Addition from Commercial to Residential (R-2). President Mc Crocklin asked if their were any objection. No objection was heard or filed.
