Invocation offered by Councilman Douglas. C. MOTION TO OPEN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR REZONINGS: 1. Consideration of Rezoning Petition #155 -R from Government Use (GU) to Commercial (C) for the appropriate legal description located at the old football field on South Parrott Avenue - Exhibit 1. (City /County Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval. 2. Motion made by Councilman Douglas to open the public hearing, seconded by Councilman Rubin. Motion carried. Motion to approve rezoning made by Councilman Thomas, seconded by Councilman Douglas. Motion carried. Consideration of Rezoning Petition #156 -R from Commercial (C) to Commercial Central Business District (CCBG) for Block 154; lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, located at 105 East North Park Street - Exhibit 2. (City /County Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval). Motion to approve rezoning made by Councilman Douglas, seconded by Councilman Rubin. Motion carried. E. MOTION TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. Motion to close public hearing by Councilman Douglas, seconded by Councilman Thomas. Motion carried. F. MOTION TO APPROVE PARTIAL PAYMENT OF $34,799.44 TO ROCK -A -WAY, INC. FOR COMPLETION OF THE S.E. 8TH AVENUE BRIDGE - CITY ADMINISTRATOR.
