He explained that he is a buyer of the subject property and would like to acquire the Commercial zoning in order to put in a Florist shop after remodeling the existing building located at 109 N.E. 5th Street in the City. After a discussion concerning the location of the property, as being directly across from the Buxton Funeral Home, Chairman Williamson asked if there were any letters of objection or any questions or comments from the audience, there were none. John Cook explained that although he had represented Mrs. Pears Hancock in the sale of the property to Mr. Buxton, he felt there was no conflict of interest because he did not know of a potential rezoning already in progress. Jim Enrico made a motion to recommend approval of this request. Seconded by Chris Hooker. The motion was unanimous to recommend approval. PETITION #175 -R - SHIRLEY UPTHEGROVE - RM to I w /Sp. Ex.
