SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY, JULY 16, 1976
The City Council of the City of 0keechobee, Florida, convened in special session
at the City Hall on Friday, July 16, 1976 at 1:50 P.M., President Russell V.
Domer presiding. Councilmen E. H. Hunt, Edward W. Douglas~and Clif Betts, Jr.
were present. Others present were Mayor, Audley Dunham; Deputy City Clerk,
Sylvia Christian.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT
President Domer declared the special meeting convened and explained the
purpose of the meeting: To discuss what course of action to take regarding Mr.
Ernest R. Bartley's purposal on drafting a new zoning Ordinance and complying
with the Comprehensive Plarmning Act.
He informed the Council that the City Attorney advised him that since the
project was in excess of $5,000.00, it should be put out on bids.
Following discussion, Councilman Hunt moved to notify Mr. Bartley of action
taken at this point and to work up some specifications identical to Mr. Bartley's
contract to send to Gee & Jenson Engineers requesting a bid price with a time
limit of ten days for his submission, seconded by Councilman Douglas and vote
carried.
ADJOURNMENT
There being Mo further business, President Domer recessed the meeting until
Monday, July 26, 1976 at 9:50 A.M.

session in the Council Chambers at City Hall, Okeechobee, Florida, on Monday,
July 26, 1976 at 9:50 A.M. President t~umsell Domer presiding. Councilmen
E. H. Hunt, Edward W. Douglas and Clif Betts, Jr. were present. Others present
were City Attorney, David Conlon and Sandra Bennett, City Clerk.
LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING ACT
Mr. Ed Hughes, Division of Technical Assistance of the State of Florida,
Department of Cummunity Affairs appeared to discuss the Local Government Com-
prehensive Plaraning Act of 1975 and a new zoning plan, as requested by City
Attorney Conl on.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, President Domer declared the meeting
adjourned,,ll:00 A.M.
