1957-03-05 Regular5OO Mayor Dunham stated that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss a site for swimming pool location and to consider transfer of site. A delegation from the Chamber of Cormmerce was present. George Reynolds, Secretary of Chamber of Commerce, stated that R. E. Ham_rick had offered to deed to the City the Block west of City Hall in exchange for the deed to the property in Block East of City. After a discussion Councilman Pearce moved that the City deed to R. E. Hamrick property in Block East of City Hall upon receipt of an unrestricted deed to the property West of City Hall (to the property of the Chamber of Commerce Building) also after receiving a certified copy of Resolution adopted by the County Commissioners regarding the financing of swimming pool~ seconded by Councilman Chandler and carried. Upon motion the Council adjourned.
