ORDINANCE No, 128
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TARES
FOR THE CITY OF OKEEOHOBEE, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDD BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE OITY OF
OKEECHOBEE; FLORIDA.
SECTION 1, That the Oity of Okeechobee, Florida hereby levies
a tax of Twenty -two (22) Mills on each dollar valuation of real and
personal property within the corporate limits of the Oity of
Okeechobee, Florida, subject to taxation on the first day of
January, A. D. 1930. Such tax shall be assessed and collected in
the manner provided by law.
SECTION 2. That sixteen (16) mills of such tax shall be used
for general city purposes; that six (6) mills of suoh tax shall be
refunding bond
used for the interest and sinking/fund, issue of 19,10,.
SECTION 3. It shall be the duty of the Oity Tax Collector and
the Oity Usk to divide the proceeds received from said taxes into
the two funds as set out in the preceding seotion and keep dull and
correct account of the same as they may be directed by the Oity
Council.
SECTION 4. This ordinanoe shall be in full foroe and effeot
immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
Read a first time and by unanimous consent passed to a second
reading. Read a seoond time and by unanimous consent passed to a
third and final reading. Read a third time and passed in open session
of the Oity Council this the 22nd. day of October, A. D. 1930.
