0133 (Taxes )ORDINANCE No. 133 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, Feb THE YEAR A. D. 1931. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA. Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby levies a tax of Fourteen (14) Mills on each dollar valuation of real and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Okee- chobee, Florida, subject to taxation on the first day of January, A. D. 1931. Such tax shall be assessed and collected in the manner provided by law. Section 2. That Twelve (12) Mills of such tax shall be used for general City purposes; that One (1) Mill of such tax shall be used maintenance of City Parks; that one (1) Mill of such tax shall be used for the interest and sinking refunding bond fund, issue of 1930. Section 3. It shall be the duty of the City Tax Collector and the City Clerk to divide the proceeds received from said taxes into the the three funds as set out in Section two (2) of this Ordinance and keep full and correct account of the same as they may be directed by the City Council. Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. Read a first time and by unanimous consent passed to a second reading. Read a second time and by unanimous consent passed to a third and final reading. Read a third time and passed in open session of the City Council this 21st. day of October, A. D. 1931.
