AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND
COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CITY OF
OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR A.D. 1931.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby
levies a tax of twenty —seven (27) Mille on each dollar
valuation of real and personal property within the corporate
limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, subject to taxation
on the first day of January, A. D. 1931. Such tax shall be
assessed and collected in the manner provided by law.
Section 2. That twelve (12) Mills of such tax shall be used
for general City purposes; that one (1) Mill of such tax shall
be used for maintenance of City Parks; That one (1) Mill of
such tax shall be used for the interest and sinking fund for
$17,500.00 of the Refunding Bond Issue of 1930; That Thirteen
(13) Mills of such tax shall be used for the Interest and
Bond
Sinking /Fund, issue of 1926, in the amount of $215,000.00.
Section 3. It shall be the duty of the City Tax Collector and
the City Clerk to divide the proceeds received from said taxes
into the four funds as set out in the preceeding section of
this ordinance and keep full and correct account of the same as
they may be directed by the City Council.
Section 4. All Ordinances or part of Ordinances in conflict
hereof are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon i is passage and approval by the mayor.
