AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES
FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR A D/LOQ
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF TH CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLROIDA:
SECTION ONE. -That the city of Okeechobee, Florida,hereby levies a tax
of Tiirty -Nine (39) milts on each dollar valualation of real and
personal property within the corporate limits of said city, subject to
taxationon the first day of January A D 1933. Such tax to be assessed
and collected in the manner provided by law.
SECTION TWO.- That Twenty (20) mills of such tax, shall be used for
general city purposes and shall be assessed for the General Fund of
said city; That ten (IO) mills of such tax shall be used for the
purpose of paying interest on certain bonds of said city, known as
City Of Okeechobee Municipal Improvement Bonds, dated February Ist, A D
1926, and more particularly described in that final decree, entered
in the office of the clerk circuit court, Okeechobee County, Florida,
on the 14th day of October, A D 1932, wherein The State of Florida
EX REL H J RICE, was Relator and J Denham Bird, as Mayor, et als,
were kespondents; That five (5) mills of such tax shall be used for
Interest and Sinking Fund for the payment of Street Paving Time
Watrant Fund, issue of 1921, in the amount of $I8,000.00, and Four(4)
mills of such tax shall be used for The Emergency Relief Fund.
Section Three.- It shall be the duty of the City Tax Collector and the
City Clerk of the said City of Okeechobee, Florida, to divide the pro-
ceeds received from said taxes into the four funds as sfsout in the
preceding section, and keep full and correct account of the same as
they may be directed by said City Comncil.
SECTION FOUR. -All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith,
are hereby expressLg'.'epealed.
SECTION FIVE.- This ordinane shall be in full force and effect im-
mediately upon its passage and approval by the mayor.
