AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND
COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CITY OF OXE7CH0B7E, FLORIDA
FOR THE TAX YEAR 1934.

Section 1. That the Oity of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby
levies E tax of 4o mills on each dollar valuation of real
End personal nroperty —ithin the corPorte limits of the
City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the Tax Year 1934. Such
tax shall be assessed and collected in the wanner provided
by law.
Section 2. That 15 mills of such tax shall be used for
General City )urposes and shall be assessed for the aeneral
Fund of said City; that 4 mills of such tax shall be used
for the sole purpose of paying a judgment aainst said City
in fever of the Pauly Jail 2uildin Company, a corporation,
which said judc.ment is of record in the office of the Clerk
:)f Circuit Curt of Okeechobee County, Florida. Th-t ten
(10) wills of such tax shall be used for the sole purpose
of paying a jud,;ment a,;ainst said City in favor of Yoeman
:!utual Life Insurance Company, a corporation, which said
judgment issued cut of the Federal Court of the Southern
District of Florida, a copy of which is recorded in the
office af the Clerk of Circuit Court of Okeechobee County,
Florida; that eiht (8) Li'ls of such tax shall be used for

en the 15th day of October, A. D. 1934, on the relation of
H. J. Rice, which said Alternative Writ of N.andamus requires
the City Council of said City of Okeechobee to incliade a
sufficient amount and/or tax levy to pay off and discharge the
indebtedness of said City to said ReIntor.

Section 3. It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector
and City Clork to divide the proceeds received from said
Tax as aforesaid into the funds set out in the oreceeding
sections and keep full and correct account of same as they
may be diected by said City Council.
Section 4, This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage by the City Council
and ap-Droval by the Mayor.
