0227 (Taxes)ORD;NANCEII0.221, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1947 FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, FloridL., hereby levies a tax of 23 mills on each dollar valuation of real oxid personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1947, such taxes shall be acsessed and collected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED HOWEVER, that no taxes shall bo assessed a.gainst homesteads, having a valuation of rot more than 52000.00, for the General Fund of said city. Section 2. Thot S mills of nucl^, tax shall be used for Gen- eral City purposes and shall be assessed for the General Fund of said City.
