AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF TAXES
FOR THE YEAR 1947 FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, FloridL., hereby
levies a tax of 23 mills on each dollar valuation of
real oxid personal property within the corporate limits of
the City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1947, such
taxes shall be acsessed and collected in the manner provided
by law, PROVIDED HOWEVER, that no taxes shall bo assessed
a.gainst homesteads, having a valuation of rot more than
52000.00, for the General Fund of said city.
Section 2. Thot S mills of nucl^, tax shall be used for Gen-
eral City purposes and shall be assessed for the General
Fund of said City. That 1P mills nf such tax shall be assess-
ed for the interest and sinking find for the poyment of
interest nc nrincipal of General Refunding Bonds, Issue of
1942, of said City.
Section 3. It sh211 be the duty of the tax collector of naid
it 2nd the City Clerk, to divide the procoods received from
said taxes as :..oforesaid, into the funes cot out in Section

flict herewith be, and the oame aro hereby reeled.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
upon its pane by the City Council and anproval by the
Mayor.
