0211 (Public Morals)ORDINANCE NO.LL AN ORDINANCE TO PRESERVE THE PUBLIC MORALS IN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, TO PREVENT PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN YEARS FROM BEING ON THE STREETS AFTER ELEVEN O'CLOCK AT NIGHT, AND TO PRO* VIDE FOR THE ENFORCEMENT THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUSCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, COUNTY OF OKEECHOBEE, STATE OF FLORIDA: Section 1. That the indiscriminate running at large of children and very young persons, on the streets, sidewalks, parks and other public places, after night is dangerous to the public morals in the City of Okeechobee, and is hereby declared to be dangerous to the public morals; That it is unlawful for any per- son under the age of sixteen years to be on the streets, sidewalks, in the parks or other public places, after eleven o'clock P.M., unless accompanied by an adult over 21 years of age. Section 2. Any person under the . ge of sixteen years who shall violate the provisions of Section one of this ordinance shall be subject to e fine not to exceed twenty -five ($25.00) dollars, or to imprisonment not to exceed thirty days or both, such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Mayor. Section 3. Any parent, guardian, or other person loco parentis who shall knowingly permit a child in their custody or control to violate the provisions of Section one of this ordinance if such child. be under the age of sixteen years, shall be sub- ject to a fine not to exceed twenty -five ($25.00) dollars, or thirty days in jail or both, such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Mayor.
