0210 (Taxes)ORDINANCE NO. 230 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLEUTION OF TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1943 FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: Section 1. That. the City of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby levies a tax of 20 mills on each dollar valuation of real and personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1943; such taxes shall be assessed and coilected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED HOWEVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads having w valuation of 45,000.00 and less for the General Fund. Section 2. That 5 mills of such tax ;hall be used for General City purposes and shall be assebsed for the General Fund of said City. That 15 mills of such tax shall be assessed for the Interest and Sinking Fund for the payment of Interest and Principle of General Refunding Bonds, Issue of 1942, of said City of Okeechobee. Section 3. It shall be the duty of the Tux Collector of said City and the City- Clerk of said City, to divide the proceeds received from said Tux as aforesaid, into the funds sat out in Section 2 of this Ordinance and keep full and correct account of the same as they may be directed by the Oity Council. Section 4. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances, in conflict .herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed. Section 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect ' upon its passage by the City Council and approual by the Mayor. PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of Nevc tuber, A. D: 1943.
