LYU. dU`j i i GRDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION °0F TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1942 FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA. • BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUICIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the City of Ukeuchobee, Florida, hereby levies a tax of 20 mills on each dollar valuation of real and per - sonar property within the corporate limits of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,,for tho year 1942; such taxes shall be assessed and collected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED HOWEVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads having a valuation of $5,000.00 and less for the General Fund. Section 2. That 5 mills of such tax shall be used for general City purposes and shall be assessed for the General Fund of said City. That 15 mills of such tax shall be assessed for the Interest and Sinking Fund for the payment of Interest and Principal of General Refunding Bonds, issue of 1942, of said City of Okeechobee. Section 3. It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector of said City and the City Clerk of said City, to divide the proceeds received from said tax as aforesaid, into the funds set out in Section 2 of thiss,Ordinance and keep full and oorxect account of the a directed by the City Council. same as they may b e 'di Section 4.
