ORDINANCE NO. a4L4
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY AND COLLECTION OF
TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1950 FOR THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida, hereby
levies a tax of 20 mills on each dollar valuation of real and
personal property within the corporate limits of the city of
Okeechobee, Florida, for the year 1950; such taxes shall be
assessed and collected in the manner provided by law, PROVIDED
HOWEVER, that no taxes shall be assessed against homesteads,
having a valuation of not more than $5,600.00 for the General
Fund of said city.
'Section 2. That 5 mills of such tax shall be used for
,General City purposee and .shall be assessed for the General
Fund of said City. That 15.mills of such tax shall be assessed
for the interest and sinking fund for the payment of interest
and principal of General Refunding Bonds, Issue of 1942, of
said City.
Section 3. It shall be the duty of the Tax Collector of
said City and the City Clerk of said City, to divide the pro-
ceeds received from said taxes as aforesaid, into the funds

set out in Section 1 of this Ordinance and keep full and correct
account of the same as they_may be directed by the City Council.
Section 4. All Ordinances, or parts of Ordinances, in con-
flict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall 'e in full force and effect
upon its passage by the City Council and approval by the Mayor.
