0249 (Auction Sales)ORDINANCE NO.9- T l AN ORDINANCE FIXING A LICENSE TAX FOR AUCTION SALES AND PRESCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEr:EOF. of IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND '£xiE, CITY CuUNOIL OF ThE. cI TY OF OkEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: BECt ON ONE: It shall corporation to selling goods, be unlawful for any person, firm or sell or be engaged in the business of wares, merchandise or other personal property at public auction until the said person, firm or coporatkon has paid to the clerk of the city of Okeechobee, Florida, a license tax in the sum of ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS per annum. SECTION TWO: Any person, firm or corporation villating the provisions of Section One of this "rdinance,i shad not exceeding be punished by a fine of /,'wo Hundred and Fifty Dollars, or imprisonment in the city jail for a period not exceeding ninety days. SECTION THREE; All laws and ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed. Section Four: • This ordinance is hereby expressly declared to be an imergency ordinance, necessary for the protection of the welfare of the inhabitants of the city of Okee- chobee, florida.
