ORDINANCE NO. 3-5°
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING AS THE CITY SANITARY CODE
THE RULES AND REGULATIONS PROMULGATED BY THE
FLORIDA STATE BOARD OF HEALTH, PURSUANT TO CHAPTER
381, FLORIDA STATUTES 1949, AND AMENDMENTS THERETO
KNOWN AS "THE SANITARY CODE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA";
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
WHEREAS Section 381.53 of Chapter 381, Florida Statutes 1949,
and amendments thereto, provides that the Sanitary Code of the State`,
of Florida shall, as to public health matters to which it relates,
supersede all ordinances heretofore or hereafter enacted, and
WHEREAS it appears to be to the best interest of the citizens'o
the City of Okeechobee to adopt said State Sanitary Code as the Cit7
Sanitary Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY'
OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
-Section, sentence, clause or phrase thereof is, for any reason, held to be
nconsitutional or invalid, the decision of the Court shall not affect the
ttlidity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
Message and approval by the Mayor, or its becoming a law without his approval
is provided by law.
