AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE HOURS OF VOTING IN ANY iLECTION, BOTH
GENERAL AND SPECIAL, TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL Oi THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE,
FLORIDA:
Section One: That after the passage of this ordinanee,when any
election is held in the city of Okeechobee, Florida, whether it
be GENERAL, SPECIAL BOND OR REFERENDUM ELECTIONS, the polls shall
at
be opened at the voting place and /or places0 Seven O'clock A. M
on the day of election, and shall be kept open until seven O'clock
P. M., of the same day , and the time to be regulated by the cus-
tomary time in standard use in the locality.
Section Two : The inspectors ahall make public proclamation of the
openin6 and closing of the polls, and during the election and canvass
o' the votes the ballot box shall not be concealed.
Section Three: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith, are directly repealed.
Read in full and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of
the city council on the 5i_' day of February, 1957.
Read a second time in full and passed by the city council on the
day of March, 1951, and became law as of March
1957.
