0294 (House Trailers)ORDINANCE NO. • 294 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PARKING OF HOUSE TRAILERS AND THE OCCUPANCY THEREOF WITHIN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS TERMS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to park any house trailer on any street, alley or highway or other public place or on any tract, lot, or parcel of land by any person, whether such trailer be occupied or unoccupied, within the City of Okee- chobee, Florida, except as provided in this Ordinance. Section 2. Emergency or temporary stopping or parking of house trailers shall be permitted on any street, alley or highway or other public place for not longer than four hours, subject to a other and further prohibitions or limitations imposed by the ordin ances of the City of Okeechobee, Florida. Section 3. No person shall park or occupy any house trailer the premises of an; occupied dwelling or on any lot which is not part of the premises of any occupied dwelling, either of which is !situated outside of the premises of a duly licensed trailer park or for in a rear yard may be permitted provided no living quarters shall area zoned for the parking of house trailers; except the parking of only one unoccupied trailer in an accessory private garage buildin- Y lbe maintained or any business practiced in or conducted from said I !trailer while the same is so parked cr stored. Section 4. Not withstanding the limitations imposed by any other provision of this ordinance, any house trailer located on any tract, lot, or parcel of land within the City of Okeechobee Viand which is occupied as a dwelling or place of residence at the time of passage of this ordiance may continue to be used as such dwelling; or place of residence so long as the said house trailer shall be located on said tract, lot or parcel of land, however, if any such house trailer be removed from its location subsequent to the passage of this ordinance, then the owners thereof or persons having or claiming to have an interest therein shall not be entitle the provisions of this section. Section 5. Any person violating any of the provisions of thi ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be imprisoned for a term not to exceed sixty (v0) days or be subject to a fine not to excee the sum of Five Hundred ollars 4500.00). Each day of any violation of any provision of this ordinance shall continue shall be construed as a separate offense. Section 6. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are to the extent of such conflict hereby repealed. PASSED AND ADOPTED on this 3 day of 1959. APPROVED: November Members of Cit, Council
