Director Fortner discussed ,~loading of chemicals at water plant stating the need of a
way to get chemicals to conveyers belt as it was not included on plans, suggested digging a pit or
purchase a 5000 pound motorized fork lift, reporting a mew one would cost $9,000 and used one $5,000.
Also Director Fortner stated the contractor needed to know how to finish the door. The Council
agreed that the contractor finish door according to contract and other adjustment s would be made in
regards to the above.
The Council authorized Attorney Curren to prepare Resolution for consideration by the
Council regarding maintenance of secondary reads in city.

The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida met in recessed budget session at City
Hall on the a~ove date at 6:30 P. M. with the following present: Mayor Audley Dunham, President
Donald L. Bark, Councilmen: Cliff Betts, Jr., Russell V. Donor, Edward W. Douglas and E. H. Hunt
with Clerk Lorena Spivey and Director of Public Works L. C. Fortner, Jr.
Preliminary works was done on 1973-74 General Budget and Water and Sewer Budget.
The Clerk presented Employee Performance Evaluations on employees in Clerk's office and
recommended salary Adjustment for year 1973-74.
Discussion was heard on evaluation of legal services and salary for Attorney Curren.
Upon motion the Council adjourned.

Economic Survey made for other Florida county stating/Chamber of Commerce thought it would be a very
good way to advertize business and capabilities of Okeechobee and requested a letter from City
