AN ORDINANCE CANCELLING MUNICIPAL TAXES
AND TAX SALE CERTIFICATES OF THE CITY OF
OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA FOR THE YEAR 1947 AND
PRIOR YEARS.
WHEREAS there are many unpaid taxes and outstanding tax sale
certificates of the City of Okeechobee, Florida against certain
lands within the municipal boundaries of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida for the year 1947 and prior years; and
WHEREAS by virtue of the provisions of Section 95.021 (1)
Laws of Florida, 1967, (FSA) the above tax liens are now
uninforceable; and
WHEREAS said unpaid taxes and tax sale certificates may
constitute some cloud, doubt or suspicion upon lands to which
they pertain; and
WHEREAS it is deemed to be to the best interest of the City
of Okeechobee, Florida and to its citizens and tax payers to
cancell said unpaid taxes and tax sale certificates; now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That all unpaid taxes and tax sale certificates
of the City of Okeechobee, Florida for the year 1947 and prior
years be and they are hereby cancelled.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida is hereby authorized and instructed to indicate the
cancellation of said unpaid taxes and tax sale certificates upon
the tax records of the City of Okeechobee, Florida.
SECTION 3. That a certified copy of this ordinance be
filed and recorded in the public records of Okeechobee County,
Florida.
SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.

ORDINANCE NO. 3
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE MOVEMENT AND RELOCATION
OF HOUSES AND BUILDINGS WITHIN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE
Be It Ordained By The Mayor and City Counsel of the City
of Okeechobee, Florida:
Section 1. That no houses, - buildings or other structures
shall be moved or relocated from a place outside the City limits
of Okeechobee to a place within the City of Okeechobee.
Section 2. That no house, building or structure shall be
moved from a place within the City of Okeechobee to another place
within the City of Okeechobee.
Section 3. Nothing in this Ordinance shall preclude the
movement and relocation of houses, buildings and other structures
from a place within the City of Okeechobee to a place outside the
City of Okeechobee.
Section 4. All persons, firms or corporations violating
the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof,
be subject to a fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment not
longer than three months, or both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage and approval by the Mayor.
