M. with the following present: Mayor Audley Dunham, President Donald L. ..Burk, Councilmen: Clif Betts, ~seell ?. Domer, and E. H. Hunt with Attorne~ J. Edward Curren, Clerk Lorena Spivey amd Director of Public Works L. C. Fortner, Jr. President BurM Recommended that the Department Eeads recommend salary increases and adjust- ments also discussed the organization of a merit system. President Burk reco~ed getting proposals from other cable T. V. companies if Ultracom, Ins. does not contact and deliver in the very near future, Preliminary work was accomplished on 1973-74 General Budget, The ~uncil authorized the following one day holidays for city employees: Labor Day Christmas Day Memorial Day Thanksgiving Day New Year' s Day July The Council authorized overtime on the above holidays for only duty firemen and duty water plant operators. The Council authorized a floral arrangement to be sent to employee Palmer C. Lamb. The Council recessed to meet at 6530 P. M. on August 21, 1973. Fortner, Jr. Engineer Don Osha was present reporting the request from David B. ~aith, Consulting Engineer of Okeechobee Beach Water Association for a meeting with City, Okeechobee Beach Water Association and Farmers Ho~e Administration. The Council requested Engineer Osha to have records in report form and the CouncAlwould advise Wallace McCormick, F. H. A. County ~upervisor of request for meeting and The Council was presented with copies of Employee Performance Evaluation f~r~s and it was agreed to initiate program with Department Heads evaluating each employee in his department. A rezoning application was presented from Thomas A. Durrett requesting that Lots 5 and 6 of Block 87, Original To~n of OMeechobee be rezoned from Residential (R-2) to Residential (R-3) for the purpose of adding additional unit to duplex ~aking a triplex. The Council authorized the notice of public hearing to consider the requested rezoned be published in the Okeechobee Newss NOTICE is hereby given that the City Council of the City of 0keechobee, Florida, a municipal corporation, will consider rezoning from Residential (R-2) to Residential (R-3) and to amend accordingly the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance ~271 adopted November 21, 1955, the following described real property, situate, lying and being within the corporate limits of the City of Ckeechobee, Florida, to-wit: Lots 5 and 6, Block 87, ORIGINAL ~ OF OXEECHOBEE and that a public hearing in relation thereto will be held at 6:30 P.
