0377 (Water Fees)ORDINANCE NO. 377 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDIANCE NO. 298, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 348, CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, BY PROVIDING AN INCREASE OF WATER SERVICE TAPPAGE FEES; AND FURTHER PROVIDING FOR INCREASE IN WATER CONSUMER ACCOUNT DEPOSITS, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida: SECTION I. That Section I of Ordinance No. 348, amending Section I of Ordinance No. 321, amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 298 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: The tappage fee for making water service connections by the City of Okeechobee, Florida, shall be: (a) 3/4 inch pipe $125.00 (b) 1 inch pipe $175.00 (c) 1 1/2 inch pipe $325.00 (d) 2 inch pipe $450.00 The City shall make all connections to meter and /or meter box and shall furnish the pipe, saddle, tail pieces, meter, mete box and all other materials required for the completion of said tappage. SECTION 2. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 348 of the Code of Ordinances, City of Okeechobee, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 2. All new water consumer accounts shall be re- quired to make the following water deposits with the City of Okeechobee before water service is extended: (A) Residential and coumiercial use: (a) 3/4 inch meter $ 30.00 (b) 1 inch meter $ 40.00 (c) 1 1/2 inch meter $ 60.00 (d) 2 inch meter - $100.00 (B) Coin Laundry and industrial consumers deposits shall be established by the City Council upon application made to the City Clerk. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after March 1 , 1976. PASSED and ADOPTED this 10 day of February . 1976.
