AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ORDINANCE NO. 307 BEING AN
ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDI-
DATES FOR OFFICES OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA
BE IT ORDIANED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA:
Section 1: All candidates for the office of Mayor, City Clerk, and
Councilman of the City of Okeechobee shall pay a qualifying fee of Fifty
Dollars ($50.00) upon qualifying as a candidate for any City Election.
Section 2: No person shall be eligible to qualify as a candidate
for the office of Mayor, City Clerk or City Councilman of the City of Okee-
chobee unless he or she shall:
(a) Be a duly qualified elector of the City of Okeechobee, and
(b) Be a duly qualified elector of the County of Okeechobee, and
(c) Be a resident of the County of Okeechobee for not less than
one (1) year immediately preceding the date of said City Election, and be
a resident of the City of Okeechobee for not less than forty -five (45) days.
Section 3: This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
final passage and approval.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Okeechobee this
28th day of October, 1976.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE
Notice is hereby given that the Ordinance described below
by title only will be placed on third and final reading at the
Meeting of the City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida,
to be held on October 28, 1976, at 1:30 P.M., at the City Hall,
or as soon thereafter as such Ordinance may be read and con-
sidered for passage.
AN ORDINANCE ABOLISHING ORDINANCE NO. 307 BEING AN
ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS OF CAN-
DIDATES FOR OFFICES OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
Said Ordinance may be inspected in the office of the City
Clerk at the City Hall, City of Okeechobee, Florida. Interested
parties may appear at said meeting and be heard with respect to
the enactment of said Ordinance.

CLERK, of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, do hereby certify that the
foregoing and above Ordinance No. 387 was duly advertised by title only
in the Okeechobee News on the 14th of October, 1976; was duly intorduced,
read and passed on first reading by the City Council of the City of
Okeechobee, Florida., on the 5th day of October; passed on second reading
by title only on the 19th day of October, 1976; copy of said Ordinance
was made available at the office of the City Clerk to the public upon
request during the time between the first and third reading of the Or-
dinance; and was duly read and passed on third and final reading on the
28th day of October, 1976, by the City Council of the City of Okeechobee,
Florida.
