0393 (Traffic)ORDINANCE NO. 393 AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING "AN ACT RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF TRAFFIC, CREATING CHAPTER 316, FLORIDA STATUTES, TO BE KNOWN AS THE 'FLORIDA UNIFORM TRAFFIC CONTROL LAW'": REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH: PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That "An act relating to the regulation of traffic; creating Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, to be known as the 'Florida Uniform Traffic Control Law' "; regulating the movement of all vehicular, all pedestrian and all other traffic upon the streets and highways and elsewhere throughout the State where the public might have the right to travel; pro- viding definitions; providing for the respective powers of State and local authorities in the control of traffic upon the streets and highways; establishing the enforcement of jurisdiction of traffic laws; establishing the rules of the road to be applicable throughout the State; establishing a standard of equipment of vehicles throughout the State; prescribing penalties for violation; providing for the adoption of this act by all municipalities within the State on or before January 1, 1972; providing an effective date, two copies of which are filed with the City Clerk of the City of Okeechobee, be and the same is hereby adopted as the Traffic Control Law of the City of Okeechobee, Florida. SECTION 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon final passage.
