0097 (Parking)ORDINANCE N O. 97 AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING THE MANNER AND METHOD IN WHICH CARS MAY BE PARKED IN THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE; MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO PARK A CAR OTHERWISE THAN PRESCRIBED, AND PRE- SCRIBING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUYCIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA: Section 1. All persons driving or operating motor driven vehicles or automobiles in the City of Okeechobee, Florida, when parking the same shall park them so that each and every wheel of said vehicle is between and within the white lines which have been laid off, or may hereafter be laid off, on the streets of said city. On the following streets of said city of Okeechobee within the boundaries prescribed all persons parking cars shall and are hereby required to park them at an angle of forty -five degrees with the curb, sidewalk, or other demarcation of the street. The streets covered by this provision are ordained to be and are hereby made as follows: North Park Street from Seminole Street to Tallahassee Street and from Micanopee Street to Oklocknee Street. South Park Street from Seminole Street to Parrott Ave. Oseole. Street from Eighth Street to Seventh Street. Parrott Avenue from Eighth Street to Seventh Street. Seventh Street from Seminole Street to Hicpochee Street. Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to park their cars in the space marked reserved on South Park Street in front of the Okeechobee Post Office which is fir, __ - _ qrr' 4 reserved for the mail carrier transporting the mail from the Post Office /1to the Railroad Stations. Section 3. Any person found guilty of violating the provisions of Section 1 or 2 of this ordinance shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding Twenty -five 025.00) Dollars for the first violation thereof. For the second or subsequent violations person shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding Fifty 050.00) Dollars or Ten (10) days imprisonment, or both in tht discretion of the Mayor.
