AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LEVY OF TAXES FOR THEYEAR1004,
Be IT ORDAINED BY THE LIAY R AND TH/CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF OKECHOBEE, FLORIDA.
Section 1. That the City of Okeechobee, Florida hereby levy a
tax of thirty (30) mills on each dollar valuation of real and
nersonal nroperty within the cornorate limits of the City of
Okeechobee, Florida, subject to taxation on the first day of
January A • D. 1924. Such tax to be assersed and collected in the
manner provided by law.
Section 11. That thirteen (13) mills of such tax sha 1 be
used for general City nurnoses;th t five (5) mills of such tax
shall be used for fire nrotection; that two and one-half (2,5) mills
be used
ofsuch tax /for an interest and sinking Paving bond fund; that
One.(1) mill of such tax be used for a ruhlicity fund; that one
(1) mill of such tax be used for a Park fund; that six nnd one-half

Section 111. It shall be the duty of the City Tax Collector
and City Clerk to divide the nroceeds received from said taxes
into various funds as set out above and keep account thereof as may X!
be directed by the liayor and City Council.
Section 1V. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect im-
mediately after its Passage and pnnrovsl by the Mayor,
