ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE MAKING VIBRANCY UNLAWFUL; DEDLARING WHO ARE
VAGRANTS; AND PROVIDING FOR ZEE PUNISHMENT THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE MAYOR AND TiiE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF OKEECHOBEB, FLORIDA.
Section 1. Vagrancy shall be unlawful in the City of
Okeechobee, Florida.
Section 2. Rogues and. vagabonds, id °).e or 3issolute persons
who go about begging, common gamblers, parsons who use toggling,
or unlawful games or plays, common pipers and fiddlers, common

drunkards, common night walkers, *Wm's, pilferers, traders in
stolen property, lewd, wanton and lascivious persons, keepers
of gambling places, common railere and brawlers, persons wise -mieg-
without
lent their calling or employmen$, or are /reasonably continuous
employment or regular income and who have not sufficient property
to sustain them, and misspend what they earn without providing
for themselves or the support of_ -their families, persons wander-
ing or strolling around from place to place without any lawful
purpose or object, habitual loafers, idle and disorderly persons,
persons neglecting all lawful business and habitually Fpending
their time by frequentipg houses of ill fame, gaming house
or tippling shops, persons able to work but h*bitually living
upon the earnings of their wives and minor children, and allysbl .y.
bodied male persons over the age of eighteen years who are without
means of support and remain in idleness, be deemed vagrants,

and upon oonviction shall be subject to the penalty provided in
Section $$$$#$$$4414 three of this Ordina cee.
Section 3. Any parson found guilty of vagranoy as defined
in this Ordinance shall be punished by fine no eaoeeding Fifty
dollars, or by imprisonment not exceeding thirty days, or both.
