0061 (Parking Vehicles)ORDINANCE NO AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON OR PERSONS OPERATING ANY AUTOMOBILE OR ANY OTHER MOTOR CAR UPON ANY OF THE STREETS OR AVENUES AS THEREIN DESIGNATED OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE FLORIDA TO PARK THE SAME ON THE LEFT OF THE STREET OR AVENUE OF THE DIRECTION IN WHICH MOVING REQUIRING THE PARKING TO BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE STREET OR AVENUE ON WHICH MOVING TO PARK IN THE BUSINESS ffffe0 SECTION OF SAID CITY AT SUCH ANGLE AS MAY BE DESIGNATED BY THE WHITE LINES MARKED UPON TI-E PAVING OF SAID STREETS OR AVENUES WHEN SO MARKED PROVIDING THE MANNER IN WHICH SAID AUTOMOBILES OR ORTHE MOTOR CARS SHALL TURN AND ONLY AT STREET INTERSECTIONS PASSING TO THE RIGHT OF ANY GUIDE POST OR SIGN IF ANY PROSCRIBING TIE LIMIT OF SPEED IN TURNING CORNERS UPON CERTAIN PAVED STREETS OR AVENUES MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO OPERATE ANY OF SUCH AUTOMOBLIES OR OTHER MOTOR CARS WITHOUT HAVING THEREON CERTAIN LIGHTS BETWEEN THE HOURS FROM SUIT SET .ITT THE EVENINGS UNTIL AFTER iff#40# DAYLIGHT NEXT MORNING PROHIBITING THE USE OF SPOT LIGHTS WHILE OPERATING ANY OF SAID CARS UPON ANY OFTHE PAVED STREETS OR P AVENUES OF SAID CITY AND REQUIRING SAID CARS TO BE 4QUIPED WITH A HORN OR ITS EQUIVALENT SOUNDING THE SAME BEFORE TURNING INTO ANY CROSS STREET OR AVENUE OR PASSING CARS PASSING IN THE SAME DIRECTION REQUIRING THE USE OF DIMMERS WHILE PASSING APPR9:ACHING CARS MAKING I T UNLAWFUL TO PARK ANT OF SAID CARS WITHIN FIFTEEN FEET OF ANY STREET OR AVENUE CORNER OR WATER PLUG NOT REPEALING ANY OTHER ORDINANCE OR PART OF ORDINANCE? AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNVIL OF THE CITY OF OKEECHOBEE FLORIDA. SECTION 1:— It shall be unlawful for any person or persons,to park any automobile, or other motor car of any description upon the left side of any of the paved streets or Avenues of the City of Okeecgobee of the direction in which the same may be moving, Section 2 :- All persci or persond driving any automobile, or other motor car of any description upon any of the hard surfaced streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee , and who desire to park the same upon any of said streets or avenues are required to park the same on the right side of the street or avenue of the direction of which moving. Section3:- All person or persond parking any automobile or other motor car of any description upon any of the hard surfaced business streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee, shall park the same on the right side of said streets or avenues 9f the direction in which moving, heading in at such angle as may be indicated by white lines marked on the paving of said streets or avenues. Section 4:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons driving any automobile or other mortor oar of any description upon the hard surfaced streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee to turn the same except at street intersections. Section 5:- Ally person or persons driving any automobile or other motor car of any description upon th e streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee , wishing to turn into any other street or avenue, where there is a guide post or sign, in the center of the street intersection ahall pass to the right around said guide post or sign, always keeping to the right, and it shall be unlawful to pass to the left of any guide post or sign at street intersections. Section 6:- It shall be unlawful for a ay person or persons driving any attemobile or motor car of any other description upon any of the hard surfaced streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee, to exceed a speed limit of Eight Miles per hour in turning corners. Section 7:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive any automobile or any other mortor car of any description upon any of the paved streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee, between the hours from Sun-set in the evenings until after daylight in the Lornings, without having thereon twe fOont ,.,,Thite lights and one red tail light on the rear"thisiW-, which said, lights shall be kept burning at all times between these hours. Section 8:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, operating any automobile or any other mortor car of any description to use any spot light while operating the said oars or any of them upon any of the paved streets pr avenues of the City of Okeechobee Florida. Section 9:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to operate any automobile or motor of any other description upon any of the streets or avenues of the City of Okeechobee, unless the same is equi?ed with a horn or other equi'alent in workable condition, and, the same shall be sounded before turning into any 4aross street or avenue, and in passing an automobile or other motor carkof any 1t description moving in the same direction. Section 10:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, driving any automobile or any otherriiibtor oar of any description, at nights upon any of the streets or other automobile automibile or oth 200 feet before applied until th Section 11:- It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to park any automobile or other 4 motor oar of any description within fifteen avenues of the City of Okeechobee, when, meeting any 04, or other mortar oar of any description to pass said ,9,44oZo4.1,c er motor car, Witnout rirst dimming its lights, at least Gel meeting any of said oars, and keeping the dimmers e approaching oar 4 is paaseba feet of anTgtreet corner, -er fir e. plug, dit. Se tion 12:- The passage of this ordinance shell not be construed to repeal any other ordinance 6,f part thereof, but shall be considered additional thereto. • r 4 11 Section 13:- . Any person or person s violating any portion # or portions of this ordinance, shall upon conviction be fined not exceeding the sum of 200.00 or be imprisoned at hard labor not exceeding 60 days or both such fine and imprisonent in th e discreation of the court. Section 14:- This Ordinance shall become effective upon its passage and approval of the -ayor. Read a first time as a whole, and passed to a second reading by a unanimous vote of the members present, read again by sections, and passed to a third reading by a unanimous vote of the members present; read ai a whole, and put on final passage, passed in open session upon the following vote, upon the roll call.
