Bill Presley appeared in behalf of his mother Etta Presley who owns four lots adjoi~ng said described property voiced objection to the re?orJ, n;~. Mrs.. Mr. Schoon~.aker, owner of Nipper Taxi business appeared before the Council requesting an exclusive t~[ franchise. After discussion President Burk suggested that ~r. Schoonmaker get a concrete pro?~osal t~gether~ · ~ including rate structure and the Council would have a workshop meeting to consider proposal. Don Shepherd of Brockway, Owen and Anderson Engineers, Inc. was present regarding the sewer study and preliminary engineer's report, stating $1,000,000 grant and $1,O00,000 loan had been previously applied for through F. H. A. ifor sewer expansion. ~e preliminary report would be a survey of th~i~ city's need, location of major collector sewer lines, lands available for sewer plant, capacity to [~ickup outlying areas, cost projections and other items directly involved in a sewer system, apprc:~imate cost of report $8,000.00 to be reimbursed by F. H. A. when loan is approved. A letter had been received from F. H. A. advising the City that if immediate steps were not taken in authorizing the Engineer's to proceed with engineering report, to consider the application withdrawn if positive ~ction is not taken to proceed ~th application processing. After discussion Councilman Domer moved ~.o authorize Brockway, ~.,zen and Anderson Engineers, Inc. to proceed with preparation of Preliminary Engineer's Survey Report, seconded by Councilman Betts and unanimously carried.
