plant. He stated he can not see guaranteeing Beach Association one
million gallons of water per day when they have not reached the
500,000 gallons per day capacity as stated in Basic Agreement of
August 11, 1977. Mr. Leland Pearce stated the Beach Association
wants to be assured the capacity of water they need will be there
when needed.

Rather than guarantee another 500,000 gallons per day the City
wall supply the water to the Beach Association as needed and when the
total water used by the City and Beach Association per day reaches

When new agreement is drawn up and the plant reaches 80~ capacity
the cost of the plant expansion will be pro-rated between the City and
Beach Association~ with Beach Association paying a percsntage of the cost
of expansion based on percentage of their usage at that time.

a Budget Workshop Session in the Clerk's Office at the City Hall,

Councilmen Lavon Bass, Edward W. Douglas, Jim Knight and Lytle
Raulerson were present.
Others present were: David Conlon, City Attorney; L. C. Fortner,
Jr., Director of Public Works; Larry Mobley, Chief of Police; E. H.
Reutebuch, Assistant Fire Chief; Sylvia Christian, Acting City Clerk
and Lola Parker, Deputy Clerk.
The Council entered into Budget discussion on Director of Public
Works Salary, Overtime, Councilmen Salary and Christmas Bonus.

The City Council of the City of 0keechobee, Florida, convened in
Regular Session in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 0keechobee,
Florida, at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 22, 1978.
President Russell V. Domer presiding.
Councilmen Lavon Bass, Edward W. Douglas, Jim Knight and Lytle

Others present were: Audley Dunham, Mayor; David Conlon, City
Attorney; L. C. Fortner, Jr., Director of Public Works; Larry Mobley,
Chief of Police; E. H. Reutebuch, Assistant Fire Chief; Sylvia Christian,
Acting City Clerk and Lola Parker, Deputy Clerk.
The Invocation was offered by Councilman Jim Knight.
SUPERVISOR 0F ELECTIONS
Ms. Rowena Parkerson appeared before the Council for discussion on
the City adopting the F~orida Election Code, to conduct the City's
Elections. The City would follow all of the ~Florida Election Laws. A
petition weuld be submitted signed by 25 qualified electors in the mun-
icipality and may upon official approval by the governing authority under
the charter adopt the State Election Laws for conducti~ municipal elections.
