The City Council of the City of Okeechobee, Florida, met in regalar session at the City Hall
on the above date at 7sO0 I~. M. with the following present, Mayor NAck, President Mc Cr0cklin, Councilmen
Gardner, Hunt, Walker and ~atford with Attorney Hendry and Clerk Spivey.

Supt· W~ reported the meed of culverts. Councilman Walker moved to purchase 6-12"-20'
uncoated culvert, !Seconded by Councilman Gardner and carried.
Fire Chef inquired as to what the Council wished to do with old Meresene heaters. Councilman
Gardner ~ved to ~thorize Councilman Hunt to handle the disposal of' heaters. Councilman Gardner withdrew
motion. ~atter ~ be studied further.
-- Prseide~ Mc Crocklin reported a request fro~ Joe Bongiovanni for relocation of water line to his
property in Block ~73, stating the Bongiovanni had agreed to purchase materials provided the city would
' fUrnish labor· C~cilaan Nal~er moved to grant request providing Bongiovanni purchase material and put up
two ~10.00 water ~po$its, seconded by Councilman Hunt and ur~nim~usly carried.
Council~ Gardner presented the following Ordinanee and moved its adoption and upea beimg
seconded by Counc~ Hunt was put to a vote and unanimously adopted:

The Clerk repor~ that the Franchise check had been received from the Florida Po~er and Light
Company in the amount of ~3,g~O.98 for the year 1~63.
Councilman Walke~ discussed a requ~t from Fred T. Wilson for a water line extension to Block
21, Northwest Addition requiring approximatelY 450 feet of pipe and cost of approximatel~ $200.00. After
discuaaion Councilman G~r moved to grant request and make extension seconded by Counct~aan Walker
and carried.
Councilman Gardner moved to authorize the purchase of the following pipes

seconded by Councilman Wal~er and carried.
CoUnc~ Watfc~d reported a request for water line extension from John H. Walker to property
on Parrott Aveaue adJoini~ the Drive Ia Theatre on the south. ~ req~ae~t~athat a $30.00 building
permit which was never us~ to be credited on tappage fee. Attorney Hendry stated the credit of building
permit fee could not be legally allowed due to the date of permit. The Council agreed to make the
extension upon payment of tap fee~
Councilman Gard~r reported a request for sewer line extension to Wheaton property on Seventh
Street. The Council did r~t feel the extension feasible at this time.
Councilman Gard~r reported that the trees on street right of way in front of Seminole Apartment
would be removed as soon a~, saw is repaired.
Councilman Gardr~r again brought before the Council the request from B. W. Thomas te 9pen
First Street. Councilman Yalker suggested that the city use the surplus dirt from city street constructi~
as fill for the street.
The Council agreed that Building Inspector White be authorized to make minor repairs at §ity HalJ
J. B. Watford, ~presenting Motorola discussed equipment for a base radio station. After
discussion Councilman Wati~rd moved to enter into agreement with Motorola, seconded by Councilman Gardner
and unanimously carried.
Councilm~n Hunt reported that a price on fi~ station door would be available at next adjourned
meeting. Also ~tated that the Council needed to work on Water an~ Sewer Budget for 1964.
Upon motion the. Council adjourned to meet Tuesday, December 17, 1963 at 5:00 P. M.
