Upon being seconded btr Council -pan Gardner was put to a vote and unanimously adopted:
R E S C L U T I C N
WHEREAS the city council of the city of Okeechobee. Florida is advised
that some person or persons are planning on opdni�g a glace for the sa1.A
o£ intoxicating- liquors, at the f oot of Parrott Avenue w1thin a short
distance of the '"day -Side Park, nov, under construction bar the ;tate Road

by a large nmalotr of the citizens of the State of Florida as well as
visitors and/or tourist f.rorai -.arious other states, annually, and

it is the well cons' dered opinion of said coancil that the establishment

'Nay -Side Park, and will seriously detract from the general public the
en i oym-er_t and pleasure t -L i ch th ey would otherwise secure, now, therefore;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COT?tbCIL OF U E CITY OF OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA, that
the Board of Commissioners of Okeechobee County, Florida, be and they are
hereby respectfully requested to use the potiver vested in t hem by law, to
iPrevent the establishment of a place wh=ere intoxicating liquor is sold,
along the Lake Front, lying between State Road 7£3, and the Goverrurent
Dil- a3 and -'est of Parrott Avenue extending to Eagle Ba��-.
