did
WHEREAS, Joe Bonglovanni,/on December 1. 1947, make
application to the Board of County Commissioners of Okeechobee
County, Florida, for the transfer of a liquor license from
State Road No. �7 0 tohis property known as the Turnipseed
4 -
Apartments property, and
WHEREAS) sail" Board of County Commissioners did then and
there approve the transfer of said license as shown by the
record in Minute Book 5 Page 81, Okeechobee County Records,
and
WHEREAS, the State Beverage Commission et Tallahassee,
Florida, has ppproved the tranzfer of said license as aforesaid
and
WHEREAS, the said Joe-Bongiovanni did, during the month.
of December, 1947, make application to the City Council of
the City of Okeechobeeik Florida, for permission to transfer
said license) said application being postponed from time to
time pending further consideration of thd same, and
WHEREAS, the said Joe Bongiovanni has been granted a
Beer and Wine License authorizing the sale of beer and wine.
at the premises herein designated as the Turnipseed Apartment
Property, and
WHEREAS, under the Statutes of the State of Florida
the City Council is without lawful authority to refuse a beer
license permitting the sale of beer and other liquors designated
in said license, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the
operation of a package store which is definitely regulated
by the laws of the State of Florida, and by Ordinance of the
City of Okeechobee, Is less injurious to the morals of the
community and the public In general than a beer parlor which
IS Dermitted to remain open at any and all hours of the day

or night, therefore ' upon due consideration thereof
BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Okee-
chobee, Florida, that permission is hereby granted to the
said Joe Bongiovanni to transfer his liquor license herein-
before mentioned from Its present location to his building
on Parrot Avenue commonly known as the Turnipseed Apartment
Property.
