1940-10-17 Rules for ElectionsAA� FA & E 8 0 L U T I O�N WHEREAS, this Council is authorized to prescribe rules and regulations for the conduction of elections, not inconsistant with the laws of the State of Florida, and WHEREAS, the Council deems it necessary and to the best interest of said City that an assessment be placed on all candidates seeking election in the General City Election to be held on the 3rd day of December, A. D. 1940. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that all candidates seeking a City office in said General Election are hereby required to pay a qualification fee as follows: For Mayor -------- $15-00 City Clerk ------- 25-00 Councilman ------- 5-00 Such qualification fee to be paid on or before the 22nd day of November, A. D. 1940 and any person who fails to pay said fee within the time herein specified shall not be entitled to have his or her name placed on the ballot for said General Election to be held on December 3rd, A. D. 1940. PASSED and adopted in regular adjourned session this 17th day of October, A. D. 1940.
