at the City Hall, at eight o'clock P. M. oil the above date., with the follcw-

The minutes were of the previous meetings in March and upon motion
of Councilman Raulerson, seconded by Councilman Singletary and carried the
minutes were adopted as read.
The following resolution was presented by Councilman Raulerson and
seconded by Councilman Singletary and carried..
RESOLUTION
WHERE�EAS, this Council has been reliably informed that the Federal
Government has extended the construction of Public Works Project in Glades
County, Florida, to include construction of cana.1s,, dykes, culverts, flood-
gates, etc., from Fishleating Creek north to Kissimmee River, and
WHEREAS., this Council deems it expedient and Nesessary that said
Public Works Pxojects be extended from Kissimmee River to Okeechobee -Martin
County boundary,.,
NOW? THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of
Okeechobee, Florida, in regular session convened the the Federal Government
be and it hereby petetioned to exttnd the constructi6n of the aforesaid Pub-
lio Works Projects to include that territory from the Kissimmee River to the
Okeechobee -Martin County boundary, and to begin the construction of said
Project as soon as possible.
