1934-11 FEC RR TaxesThe following Resolution was offered by Councilman McCarthy, who moved its adop-
tion, motion seconded by Councilman Brass and passed:
RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The Florida East Coast Railway is indebted to the City of Okeechobee,
Florida, for taxes as follows:
For the year 1932, the sum of - - - - - - - - - $1404.90
For the year 1933, the sum of 994-50
and,
WEREAP,the said Florida East Coast Railway has offered to pay cash in the
sum of $1.4-K.26, PROVIDED the City will accept Okeechobee City bonds for the re-
mainder, that is to say, $915.14, and
WHEREAS, the said offer of said Florida East Coast'llailway is in amount ' suffi-
cient to take care of the sums levied under the authority of certain alternative
writs of mandamus issued against said City and also to provide for the operation of
the said municipal government.,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council in special session that the offer
of said Florida East Coast Railway be, and the same is hereby approved and/or accepted
and that the Clerk of said City is hereby authorized to issue to said Florida East
Coast Railway his official tax rece upon receipt of the sum of One Thousand Four
Hundred Eighty-four and 26/100 ($1,444.26) Dollars in cash, and Okeechobee City Bonds
in the sum of Nine Hundred Fifteen and 14/100 ($915,14) Dollaxs.
Passed in open session this 26th day of May.A. D. 1934.
